Effective: October 28, 2026
ResolderWorks ("we") protects your personal information under the Korean Personal Information Protection Act and sets out this policy so that questions about it can be handled promptly.
We only receive the information we need to repair your memory modules.
We process this information to enter into and perform the repair contract (Article 15(1)(4) of the Act) and to meet legal obligations (Article 15(1)(2)). Website analytics and review invitations to overseas customers rely on our legitimate interests (Article 15(1)(6)). Our service is not directed at children under 14.
From you directly — through the contact form, email, our KakaoTalk channel, WhatsApp, phone and text messages — and from documents you send (invoices, packing lists, etc.). During customs clearance we may also receive shipment and declaration details from couriers and customs brokers. Access logs and cookies are collected automatically when you use the website.
When you contact us through a messenger of your choice, such as KakaoTalk or WhatsApp, that service's own privacy policy also applies.
We delete personal information without delay once its purpose is fulfilled, except for the following, which we keep for the periods set by law or needed for warranty checks.
Personal information whose retention period has ended or whose purpose is fulfilled is deleted without delay. Electronic files are deleted so they cannot be recovered; paper is shredded or incinerated. Information we must keep by law is stored separately from other information.
We do not use your personal information beyond the purposes in Section 1 or give it to third parties, except with your consent or where the law requires it.
Disclosure required by law: information declared to the Korea Customs Service (and the customs authority of the destination country) for import and export clearance, information sent to the National Tax Service when a cash receipt is issued, and requests from investigative authorities made under legal procedures.
We entrust the following work to service providers and make sure they handle your information securely. Providers outside Korea are listed in Section 7.
To run our website and business email and to provide the repair service, we transfer personal information abroad (entrusting processing to, or storing it with, the providers below). Transfers happen over the network at the time you use the service, and each recipient deletes the information under its own policy when the entrusted work ends or the retention period in Section 3 has passed.
| Recipient (country) | Information | Purpose | Contact |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) | All items in Section 1 | Hosting the website, database and files (photos, documents, call recordings) | cloudflare.com |
| Google LLC (USA) | Name, email, message content and attachments, website usage data (cookies, IP) | Business email (Gmail), website analytics and ad measurement (Google Analytics, Google Ads), fonts and videos | google.com |
| Anthropic, PBC (USA) | Name, content of inquiries, emails and messages, photos you send, module label photos | AI assistance: reply drafts and translation, repair report wording, label reading | anthropic.com |
| PayPal Pte. Ltd. and affiliates (Singapore, etc.) | Name, email, invoice items and amounts, order number | Payments by overseas customers (invoices) | paypal.com |
| Trustpilot A/S (Denmark) | A copy of the return-shipping email (recipient name and email, subject, body) | Sending review invitations to overseas customers (Section 8) | trustpilot.com |
| International couriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) and customs of the destination country (destination country) | Recipient name, company, address, phone, email, tax ID, goods details | Overseas returns and import clearance | Each courier's website |
If you do not want your information transferred abroad, tell us using the contacts in Section 12. Without the transfers needed for the website, business email, payment and return shipping (Cloudflare, Google, PayPal, couriers) we cannot provide those services. Declining AI assistance (Anthropic) or review invitations (Trustpilot) does not affect your repair.
For customers outside Korea, the email in which we tell you that your repaired modules have been shipped back is also sent, as a blind copy, to the review platform Trustpilot. Trustpilot reads your name, email and order number from that copy and emails you an invitation to write a review. Overseas customers whose repair was finished before we started doing this may be invited by uploading their name, email and order number to Trustpilot directly. We ask everyone at the same point regardless of the repair outcome, and only once per repair.
If you prefer not to be asked, tell us or use the opt-out in Trustpilot's email. Reviews you write on Trustpilot are governed by Trustpilot's terms and privacy policy.
We use cookies set by Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how the website is used and to measure advertising. The language you choose is stored in your browser's local storage.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com. The contact form and order tracking keep working without cookies.
You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your personal information or to stop its processing. Send the request to the email or phone number in Section 12; after confirming your identity we will reply with the outcome within 10 days. A legal representative or someone you authorise may also make the request.
Information we must keep by law (Section 3) cannot be deleted during that period, and stopping processing may make it impossible to finish a repair or return that is under way.
We protect personal information by limiting access to the admin system to authorised staff with password authentication, encrypting data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) on the website and in email, storing data with cloud providers that hold security certifications, and controlling access to business accounts and devices.
Please send questions, complaints or requests for remedy about personal information to the person below. We will respond and act without delay.
For advice or dispute resolution about a privacy infringement you can contact the following Korean bodies. If you live outside Korea, you can also contact the data protection authority of your country.
This policy applies from October 28, 2026. If it changes, we will announce it on this page before the change takes effect.
This policy is written in Korean. If a translation differs from the Korean original, the Korean original prevails.
